Government has announced setting up of the Seventh Central Pay Commission to review salaries of over five million employees. The Commission, under the chairmanship of retired SC judge AK Mathur, will submit its report in two years and the recommendations would be implemented from January 1, 2016. The PM-approved panel has one full-time and one part-time member besides the chairman.
