Ministry of Health on Thursday shared a graph comparing the second and third COVID-19 waves. India had seen 4,14,188 new COVID-19 cases and 3,679 deaths on May 7, 2021, during the second wave peak while 3,47,254 new COVID-19 cases and 435 deaths were reported on January 21, 2022. Back then, 3% population was fully-vaccinated while 75% population is fully-vaccinated now.
