Ministry of Defence has signed ₹697.35 crore contracts with ACE and JCB India for procurement of rough terrain forklift trucks. The government plans to procure 1,868 such trucks for Indian Army, Indian Airforce and Indian Navy. These forklift trucks will assist in various combat & logistics support by avoiding manual handling of enormous number of stores enhancing operational effectiveness.
