The government on Friday announced that tax benefits as available under National Pension System (NPS) shall apply mutatis mutandis to Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) as it's an option under NPS. It'll ensure parity with existing NPS structure and provide substantial tax relief and incentives to employees opting for UPS, the government said.
