According to the 2011 Census, about 44% of the Bengaluru's population comprises migrants, from all over India. Naturally, locals fear that Kannada language is taking second or even third place to Hindi and English in the state. But the state government needs to promote the Kannada language and facilitate learning among migrants entering the city.
