The Centre amended Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), now requiring NGOs to choose from a predefined list of purposes. The changes allow multiple faith-based activities but state that religious conversion-linked activities are excluded from several registration-eligible categories. It also said associations with foreign nationals as key functionaries won't be considered for registration.
