The Centre will roll out 50-100 ethanol fuel stations in Delhi-NCR, Pune, Mumbai and Nagpur to reduce imports of fossil fuels, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said. He further said he hopes the ethanol fuel station network can be expanded to 500 by the end of 2026. Puri added that the government is working on supportive measures to increase adoption.
