The BJP-led central government will celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17 as 'Sewa Diwas' (Day of Service). The government plans to carry out a range of activities like building twin pit toilets, 'shramdaan' or voluntary work, and sanitation drives on Sewa Diwas. It is a part of the fortnight-long 'Swachhta Hi Sewa' campaign that started on Friday.
