The government is reportedly set to introduce bills aimed at providing a legal framework for the removal of PM, Union Ministers, CMs and ministers of Union Territories if they are arrested on serious criminal charges. Under the proposed law, if a minister is in jail for 30 consecutive days on serious charges, they can be removed from office.
