The central government has introduced a new set of National Awards in the field of science, technology and innovation called 'Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar'. It'll be awarded on National Space Day (23 Aug). It'll cover 4 categories - Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Shri, Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar and Vigyan Team across 13 domains like Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Atomic Energy and others.
