Govt warns Microsoft Office users of code-hacking risk

The government agency CERT-In has issued a warning to Microsoft Office users about a security flaw CVE-2026-45659, allowing hackers to take over the system through infected documents. The agency noted remote code execution vulnerability in Microsoft Office components due to deserialisation of untrusted data. CERT-In urged users to update all the Office apps at earliest.
