During an event, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman claimed that GPT-5 is already smarter than him and several other people. "By...end of this decade (2030), if we don't have extraordinarily capable models that do things humans cannot, I'd be very surprised," he added. He also said that "30%-40% of work" may be done by AI over the next few years.
