Graphene increases rubber's strength, elasticity

According to a study by two Manchester-based researchers, adding a small amount of graphene, the world's strongest and thinnest material, to rubber can increase its elasticity and strength by up to 50%. To achieve this, researchers combined 0.1% of a form of graphene called graphene oxide with rubber, both of which were in a form that is stable in water.
