short by Editor / on Thursday, 14 March, 2024
Scientists at the Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden have reported a novel, simple, and environmentally benign synthesis route for this type of battery, using a catholyte with the help of a graphene sponge. Their new idea is a porous, sponge-like aerogel, made of reduced graphene oxide, that acts as a free-standing electrode in the battery cell.
