The Great Wall of China was damaged by two construction workers who used an excavator to create a shortcut through it. It is reported that the damage was caused to a segment of the Great Wall dating back to the Ming dynasty. This section includes a well-preserved watchtower. The Great Wall of China is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
