A TDP pocket-borough since 1983 with a sizeable Muslim population, the Hindupur Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathya Sai district has always been the YSRCP’s remote electoral dream. The people appear bound to the legacy of NTR who fought his first election from here and later, his sons. Murmurs of more development are heard, though not in dissenting terms.
