Gross monthly GST collections in December amounted to ₹1.65 lakh crore, the Finance Ministry said. This marks a 10.28% jump from ₹1.5-lakh crore GST collected in December 2022. However, it fell 1.81% from ₹1.67-lakh crore GST collected in November. The ministry added that it was the seventh month in 2023 when GST collection crossed the ₹1.60-lakh crore mark.
