GST Council may review 18% GST on UPI MDR: Report

The GST Council may review the existing 18% GST on UPI MDR charges at its next meeting, scheduled for October 7. The meeting comes ahead of the October 15 rollout of the 0.4% MDR on UPI transactions above ₹2,000. Notably, the GST-registered businesses can fully claim back this tax via ITC (Input Tax Credit).
