GST Council to consider rate changes only once a year: FM Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the GST Council will consider changes to tax rates only once a year. No rate changes were announced at the 57th GST Council meeting on Thursday. "The rate structure is settled, so the Council has turned to how the tax works day to day," Sitharaman said in a post-meeting press conference.
