The reduction in GST on large-screen televisions has boosted sales of 43-inch and above TV sets in India, according to Counterpoint Research. The tax cut has made TVs of 43 inches and above account for nearly two-thirds of the total market share in the last quarter, it said. GST on TVs above 32 inches was lowered from 28% to 18%.
