Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday announced that Goods and Services Tax (GST) on 33 life-saving drugs and medicines will be reduced from 12% to 0%. She stated GST on agricultural goods such as tractors, harvesting or threshing machines will be reduced from 12% to 5%. Notably, GST slabs will be reduced to 5% and 18%.
