GST officials are investigating Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem and Indian arms of MNCs in multiple cities, a report stated. The probe is being done to find out whether services provided by these firms to their overseas clients, including backend technology, content development, marketing, R&D, and others, qualify as exports or fall under the taxable category of 'intermediary services'.
