GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bowl first against PBKS in their IPL 2025 opener in Ahmedabad. Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Azamatullah Omarzai and Marco Jansen are PBKS' overseas players in the XI. GT's playing XI features three overseas players: Jos Buttler, Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada.
