GTRE Director Dr SV Ramanamurthy confirmed the indigenous engine for India's AMCA fighter will produce 120kN thrust, correcting earlier 110kN reports. This higher thrust enhances the AMCA Mk2's supercruise, payload, and agility. To be developed with foreign collaboration, it targets self-reliance. AMCA Mk1 will initially fly with the GE F414 engine.
