Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said security guarantees for Ukraine should be the result of settlement of conflict with Russia and shouldn't be a precondition for negotiations. She stated security guarantees for Ukraine must take into account security interests of Russia. Ukraine has demanded security guarantees from its Western backers as a prerequisite to a peace deal.
