The Gujarat government is all set to build a 108-metre statue of sitting Buddha near Shamlaji, which is located 150 km north of Ahmedabad. After completion, the statue will surpass the 92-meter buddha statue in Thailand to become the world's tallest statue of sitting Buddha. Overall, it will be world's second tallest Buddha statue.
