Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani has sought Y-category security cover on Thursday after allegedly receiving his second telephonic death threat in two days. An associate of Mewani said he had received similar threats on Facebook and Twitter earlier. Individuals protected under Y-category security are assigned a security cover of 11 personnel including commandos and police.
