Guj woman sues doctors, lab after child born with Down syndrome

A Gujarat woman has sued three doctors and a laboratory, alleging medical negligence after her child was born with Down's syndrome, heart defects and ambiguous genitalia. The 35-year-old woman claims multiple pregnancy tests failed to detect anomalies. She is seeking cancellation of the doctors' licences and ₹25 lakh compensation, after the Gujarat Medical Council issued them warnings.
