A Gujarat policewoman was arrested on Sunday for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹20 lakh from a rape accused, police said. The sub-inspector had asked for ₹35 lakh, and had been forcing the rape accused to pay the remaining amount. She demanded the bribe to protect the rape accused from being sent to a jail outside his native place.
