The Gujarat government presented a ₹4.08-lakh-crore Budget for FY27 with no new taxes and projected an estimated surplus of ₹974 crore. The outlay rose about 10.2% over last year, Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai said. Major focus was on tourism promotion and sports infrastructure ahead of the 2030 Commonwealth Games. The Budget continued the 5% tax rebate for electric vehicles.
