Gujarat defeated Jharkhand by 123 runs to reach Ranji Trophy final for the first time since 1950-51 Ranji season. Gujarat won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2015 and claimed the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2016. Gujarat will face the winner of the second semifinal between Tamil Nadu and Mumbai in the tournament's final beginning January 10.
