On Day 2 of the IPL 2022 mega auction, Gujarat Titans bought all-rounders Jayant Yadav and Vijay Shankar for ₹1.7 crore and ₹1.4 crore respectively. Titans also secured West Indies' Dominic Drakes for ₹1.1 crore. Vijay Shankar, who was released by SRH, had scored 58 runs in his seven games last season.
