Gujarat vaccinates over 6 lakh girls against cervical cancer

Gujarat has successfully administered HPV vaccination to over 6 lakh girls to protect them against cervical cancer, PTI reported. The Centre also provided the state with 2.72 lakh additional doses. The additional doses will allow 14-year-old girls to be vaccinated every month till December 31, 2026. Cervical cancer is reportedly the second most common cancer among Indian women.
