According to a study of mortality carried out between 2010 and 2014, Gujaratis live 0.8 years longer than average Indians and have a life expectancy of 68.7 years. While the life expectancy among men was 66.6 years, it was 71 among women, revealed a Census of India data. Notably, life expectancy in Gujarat increased by nearly 20 years since 1970.
