Gulf shipping disruptions threaten India’s exports: Report

Geopolitical tensions in West Asia and the Iran conflict are disrupting key shipping routes and raising fears of instability in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy corridor. Rising freight and insurance costs could hurt India's exports to the Gulf, which accounts for one-fifth of shipments. Higher crude prices may also widen India's current account deficit in coming years.
