For the fourth consecutive year, rates of gun-related injuries stayed above levels seen before the COVID-19 pandemic, a CDC report has revealed. According to research, race played a key role in who saw those higher rates of gun violence in 2023. Annual rates among Black and Hispanic people remained elevated while children and adolescents were among the worst affected.
