According to reports, unidentified gunmen attacked the Radisson Hotel in Bamako, Mali's capital and took over 170 people hostage. At least nine people, including five UN workers were reportedly killed in the attack on the luxury hotel in the neighbourhood frequented by diplomats and government officials. Witnesses claim police have surrounded the hotel and blocked roads leading to the area.
