French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's pistols, with which he once intended to kill himself, sold at an auction for €1.69 million (over ₹15 crore). The two guns are inlaid with gold and silver and have an engraved image of Napoleon. He planned to shoot himself dead after his defeat in 1814 but his Grand Squire removed powder from the guns.
