Gurugram to deploy teams to monitor illegal cracker sales

Gurugram's district administration will deploy monitoring teams to check illegal firecracker sales during Diwali. Only CSIR-NEERI-approved green crackers can be sold by licensed traders at designated spots from November 4–6, and can be burst on November 7–8 during permitted hours. Barium-based crackers remain banned across NCR. Violators will face prosecution and licence cancellation.
