Guwahati’s ACA Barsapara Stadium will host the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 opener—India vs Sri Lanka—on Sept 30, along with three more matches and the opening ceremony. A high-level review chaired by Sports Minister Nandita Gorlosa directed departments to upgrade facilities. Guwahati may also host a semifinal and will stage the India–South Africa Test in Nov 2025.
