US Senator Bernie Sanders called Elon Musk "wrong" for backing H1B visas and said his firm Tesla hired low-paid employees through the visas. The programme isn't being used "to hire 'the best and the brightest', but rather to replace good-paying American jobs with low-wage indentured servants from abroad", Sanders said. He added that billionaires make money by hiring cheap labour.
