Indian drugmakers Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Group Pharmaceuticals were cheated of ₹2.16 crore after hackers gained unauthorised access to the email correspondence between them. They used a single fake email ID to closely resemble Group Pharmaceuticals and directed Dr Reddy's to transfer the amount, a payment for goods supplied, to their own bank account. A complaint has since been filed.
