Hackers use AI-cloned Wall Street executives' voices to break into hedge funds
Hackers attempted a series of sophisticated cyberattacks targeting major Wall Street financial services firms and money managers in recent days, Reuters reported. Some of the world's largest hedge funds along with several private equity firms were targeted, it added. The attacks reportedly relied on voice phishing, with cybercriminals using AI to mimic executives' voices, tone and speech.
