Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla revealed he had two wisdom teeth extracted before his ISS mission. Although astronauts are medically trained for emergencies, "one thing you cannot do is dental surgery" in space, he said. Hence, teeth issues are eliminated before launch, he explained. "If you want to be an astronaut, you have to give up on your wisdom," he quipped.
