Haimanti Sen turned Kandivali’s crowded skywalk into a school for underprivileged kids. With no funds or NGO support, she began ‘Junoon’ in 2018 after quitting her job. Rain or shine, she teaches lessons in hygiene, English, and life skills. Despite resistance from parents and politicians, six kids have joined formal schools—proof that her belief in education is transforming lives.
