Seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton won the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix on Sunday, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen recovered from a five-place grid penalty to finish second. The Mercedes' driver moved within eight points of Verstappen with just two races to go in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi next month. Alpine's Fernando Alonso finished third.
