Hand & foot fossils found in Kenya for ancient human relative

Scientists have discovered 1.52-million-year-old hand and foot fossils of Paranthropus boisei near Kenya's Lake Turkana. This is first time that bones linked to this species have been found in region. The partial skeleton, including teeth and skull fragments, shows P boisei was bipedal and capable of grasping tools. Its powerful jaws and dish-shaped face evolved for chewing tough plant foods.
