Harpreet A De Singh has been appointed as the CEO of Air India's regional subsidiary Alliance Air, becoming the first woman to head an Indian airline. She is currently Air India's Executive Director (Flight Safety). Singh was the first woman pilot to be selected by Air India in 1988. However, she left her flying job due to health reasons.
