Harvard University has been accused of training officials of a Chinese paramilitary organisation, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC), which has been linked to human rights abuses against Uyghur Muslims in China. The XPCC had also been sanctioned by US in 2020. Notably, US President Donald Trump recently said government would take away 'tax exempt' status of Harvard University.
