Haryana CM Nayab Singh, while making announcements for Panchayat representatives, declared that a Sarpanch can now undertake development work amounting upto ₹21 lakh in their Gram Panchayat without e-tendering, up from the previous limit of ₹5 lakh. He added that a Sarpanch can get travel allowance at ₹16 per kilometre when using their car or taxi for Gram Panchayat work.
